Introduction:

The skin and its derivatives together comprise the integumentary system. It is a very important system of the body that protects the body from physical damage like abrasions and helps in perspiration. The superficial layers of the skin provide damage control to the inner layers which constitute the blood vessels. Hairs and nails are the derivatives that arise from the skin.
