Introduction:

The skin color in tomato is coded by a gene having two alleles. The allele R codes for round fruit and the allele r codes for long fruit. The skin texture in tomatoes is also coded by a gene having two alleles. The allele S codes for smooth skin and the allele s codes for the fuzzy skin.
