Two sets of exceptions to the rule that the arteries and veins carry deoxygenated and oxygenated form of blood, respectively.

Introduction:

The blood vessels are classified into arteries, veins, and the capillaries. They supply blood to the remotest corner of the body. In general, the arteries carry the oxygenated form of blood away from the heart and the veins supply the deoxygenated form of blood toward the heart.
