Explanation of Solution

It involves three components that help in implementing organizational productivity.

The three components of the work system design are job design, work measurements, and worker compensation.

Components of work system design:

Job design considers the individuals and team roles and responsibilities that provide assurance in achieving the company objectives. It includes considering the technical feasibility of the job, the economic aspects/value generated by the job. Also, the level of satisfaction achieved from performing the job is also considered here.

Work measurement is the sort of analyzing the requirements to complete the job. It helps to determine the standard time to finish a job. It helps in setting a benchmark and also allows to determine the project costs, materials, and other resources required to complete the tasks. It also analysis the machines, the methodology, and techniques employed.

Worker compensation is the third part of the work system design. Compensation is measured with respect to the time spent and also as per the output generated from the job. Wages are calculated with respect to time. Also, incentives/commission can be generated based on the performance. Profit-sharing is another mechanism to compensate workers.
