Case summary:

 Person S and L established The Rural Education Center (TREC) for the purpose of providing rural and homesteading skills to hundreds of students. In 1982 the TREC started to dry up and in order to recover this situation they expanded the dairy herd to produce and sell additional yogurt. Finally it reached in to profit.

The company started Stonyfield’s farming and it helps to number of organic farmers for producing agricultural products without pesticides and other chemicals. It helps to employees to contribute to firm’s environmental efforts and company providing education, training, and other opportunities for employees.

For the previous 30 years Stonyfield’s employees, managers builders have been inspired by company’s mission and entrepreneurial spirit to do fine by doing good.
