RAID:

• RAID stands for “Redundant Array of Independent Disks”.
• It is used to maintain equilibrium between the performance and fault tolerance.
• They utilize multiple disks in order to create virtual disks (storage volumes) that are made out of several individual disks.
• They can make improvement in the performance and fault tolerance.

RAID levels:

The below are the levels of RAID:

Level 0:

• It holds data blocks that are spread over the separate drives.
• They are also called as stripped array.
• It is capable of providing increased performance.
• It does not provide fault tolerance.
• It requires minimum two drives.

Level 1:

• It holds data blocks that are being written duplicated in separate drives...
