Interpretation:

The percentage increase in the volume of the balloon is to be calculated when decomposition of N2O4 gas takes place.

Concept introduction:

In ideal gas law, the volume of gas is directly proportional to the temperature of gas and number of moles and is inversely proportional to the pressure.

The equation of ideal gas law is written as:

PV=nRT

Here, P is the pressure of the gas, V is the volume of gas, n is the number of moles of gas, R is the ideal gas constant and T is the temperature.
