The result of Hershey and Chase’s experiment, if the genetic material of bacteriophage they used was RNA instead of DNA.

Introduction:

Alfred Hershey and Martha Chase used T2 bacteriophage as their experiment model. The bacteriophages attack the bacterial cell and divide inside the bacterial cell. The bacteriophages get attached to the cell wall of bacteria and inject their DNA into the host cell. Where the division takes place and DNA is encapsulated by phage protein, the new progeny is produced. The progeny breaks the cell of bacteria and escape.
