Muscle is a composite tissue which is classified into the skeletal muscle, the smooth muscle, and the cardiac muscle tissue. The distinguishing feature between them is the presence or absence of striations and involuntary or voluntary contraction of the muscles. The muscles are involved in various functions such as body movements, maintaining body posture, and so on.
