Smart pointer:

In C++, a smart pointer is an object that may work like pointer but it has an ability to delete the memory which is dynamically allocated after its usage.

It is an abstract data type that similar as a pointer, includes additional features like dynamic memory management.

While using pointer, a problem like “dangling pointer” can be raised. A dangling pointer is a pointer which points a memory that has been freed, which means the storage is not allocated. Trying to access this kind of memory may cause segmentation fault.
