Introduction:

The basic unit of the nervous system is neuron. A nerve cell consists of a cell body, dendrites, and an axon. A neuron has only one axon present in it. Axon helps in the conduction of nerve impulses. A neuron receives signals as an input from many other neurons. The incoming impulses or signals are the information gathered from different types of sensory receptors.
