Solution:

There two ways of self-awareness one is the Soliciting the feedback from other as to know how our attitude affects others and the other one is Self-Assessment which is the self-realizing of their own actions and behaviours. These two level of self-awareness affects the way Mike Boyle runs his business.

The ways which affects the self-awareness of Mike Boyle depends on two important keys of self-awareness, they are, soliciting the feedback and using self-assessment which can lead to greater self-awareness.

Soliciting the feedback:

We understand ourselves in a different way than others understands us and it is not easy to achieve. We need to have other people's opinion about us as a mirror to see ourselves clearly. What we consider right might be wrong in other's view. By taking the feedbacks from other the blind spots can be identified which are not been recognized by that particular person that can be the major drawbacks for their success.

The feedback is important to improve our self-awareness that can improve the performance and give contentment to the employees as well as the managers. Without the feedback we can create an illusion that becomes negative for us in many places.

Self-Assessment:

Self- awareness can be successful with the self-assessment where the insight of one's realization of their own behaviour and attitude can help them improve more. Reflections on our thoughts and actions regularly based on our life experience and also realizing the reflexes from our action we can learn better about our self. For a person in the top level management this self-assessment will be of important use in managing the team under him.

Mike Boyle sets his goals and writes down his goals as he believes writing goals make him reach success than the unwritten goals and was in a habit of checking the list every month and he had achieved 11 out of 12 goals written. Mike Boyle is an early adapter and he adapts quickly to the positive changes and also work hard for his achievements.
