To explain:
The way the inheritance of chromosomes from our parents affects our bodies’ function and appearance.
Introduction:
Inheritance can be defined as the genetically transferred traits from one generation to another generation. An individual obtain various traits from one’s parents through the process of inheritance.

Explanation of Solution
Human beings have 23 pairs of chromosomes. During the process of mitosis, all the cells divides and every daughter cell get 46 chromosomes. Mitotic cell division is done for all the somatic cells. But on the other hand, during the process of meiosis, each daughter cell consists of 23 chromosomes. Meiosis is the process of cell division required for the gamete formation.
While in the process of fertilization, one set of chromosome comes from mother and the other from the father. Combination or fertilization of both the gametes forms a zygote. A zygote has a total 46 chromosomes. The body of the fetus and its anatomical function is completely based on the genes of a zygote; hence, some the resulting trait is a combination of both parents.
Genes present on each chromosome imparts different traits in the
A child’s physiological as well as anatomical structure is defined by the inherited genes present on the chromosomes of his/her parents.
