Introduction:

Calvin or C₃ cycle is a type of dark reaction. In this cyclic biochemical pathway, the reduction of CO_2, or can say photosynthetic carbon is done. This pathway is followed or shown by the plant when the first product of CO₂ fixation is a C₃ acid, PGA (Phosphoglyceric acid). The C₃ pathway has three major steps; carboxylation, reduction, and regeneration. These steps are known as glycolytic reversal which is the formation of a sugar and takes place between reduction and regeneration.
