Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The total kinetic energy density including rotation has to be calculated.

Concept introduction: The amount of energy stored in a defined space per unit volume is known as energy density.  Kinetic energy is related to the translational motion of the system with respect to some reference (mostly earth).  It is directly related to the temperature.  It is given by the expression,

  Kinetic energy=12mv2

Where,

  • m is the mass of the body
  • v is the velocity.
