Transcribed Image Text:Procedure Part 1:
Draw the most stable Lewis structures for the following compounds/ions:
The most stable structure is the structure which utilizes the octet rule for terminal atoms and
central atoms in the 2p subshell, or for those central atoms in the 3p subshell or beyond formal
charges should be considered and shown in your drawn Lewis structure.
You will be submitting images of these structures, so be sure to draw them neatly and completely!

Open Microsoft Powerpoint, Google slides, or other slide/presentation software and title
each slide with a different one of your molecules/ions.
Put the drawn image of your Lewis structure on its titled slide.
For each slide, either as a list or table give the following information:
- Electron domain geometry
- Molecular Geometry (molecular shape)
- Idealized bond angles (NOT the true bond angle as that will be part of the Part 2
Procedure)
- Hybridization about the central atom
- Whether the molecule/ion is polar or non-polar
