Are Democracies still successful around the world? Or the rich are dominating many countries' Political Processes? I Would love to hear your comments.
Democracies come with lots of people who lack democratic political rights. Since the 19th century, more people have gained political rights. So I wouldn't say they're not successful around the world because they continue to have setbacks. I will say they say they are successful in ways as the spread of rights continues.
2) The USA exemplifies democracy, why do only 45% of Americans take part in the political process or VOTE? Please share your public opinion on this matter.
I believe it’s because the majority of Americans think voting is inconvenient.
3) Democracy is some 3000 years old, even Socrates was concerned about this political philosophy. Why do so many political philosophers distrust their Political Process? I need your critical analysis of why people don't trust the Democratic political system.
People don’t trust the democratic political system because the federal government failed to gain the people's trust. which only comes from the government's performance. Some people don’t think they are doing enough and some think they’re doing too much which causes people to have concerns. For example, how corrupt money is and corporations are going about the political process.
4) Do we all have rights as stated on the basis of Democracy or are our rights held only for the rich and wealthy in many countries?
I agree with the fact that our rights are held away only for the wealthy. I say this because there are so many Americans out there having to face the reality that there's a bunch of billionaires that have wealth and power, while hard-working people and families are having to struggle. So many people and families are having to live paycheck to paycheck. Some people are even homeless, worried about being evicted from their homes, stressed trying to figure out a way to feed themselves, or drawing in debt. Meanwhile, wealthy people have it so well. I believe that growing income and wealth is an issue that touches the foundation of American democracy. Especially if the rich continue to get richer while the working people have to be forced to see their standard of living decline.
