write a estimated 200 word response to the following paragraph Democracies are still successful around the world even though for some countries it may appear that the rich are dominating many countries political policies. For example in America even though there are many rich people who have very close connections with people in positions of political power, they don’t get everything they want and decisions are made that are as a result of a democracy with people of lower classes having a voice. Some countries however rich people dominate political processes that occur in the country as a result of possible deals that are made between politicians and the rich. For example in countries such as Russia and many third world countries the poor suffer greatly but the rich get richer because the government gives the rich people more to keep them happy. Only 45% of Americans take part in political processes such as voting because they may feel their vote won’t make a difference. For instance because of the electoral collage many states already have planned who they are going to give there votes to making people feel that there vote wont effect the election. Specifically states such as California and New York are blue states and almost always vote democrat so as a result people who are republicans may not vote because they may feel their vote doesn’t matter. Also some people may not trust the government and the people they are voting for so as a result they don’t vote at all. Another reason is people don’t have enough knowledge about what or who they are voting for and this leads to people not voting. Some political philosophers distrust this political process because some philosophers may feel it gives the people too much power to make decisions and they may feel the people don’t know enough about politics to be involved in these decisions. Also philosophers may oppose this because of deals that can happen between politicians and people through bribes and other favors to make people happy. For instance because politicians need support from the people they can give people political favors to secure there votes and politicians can fall victim to bribes from upper class people so they can get what they want. I think we all have rights as stated on the basis of democracy because all people are able to vote, and everyone has rights and freedoms. The rich have these rights but the only difference is they may have a little more pull politically because they are able to connect with higher ranking people. That being said however they share the same rights and freedoms as the poor class.
