Write a brief note on each of the following, in relation to classification/biodiversity.
1)domain
2)kingdom
3)phylum
4)class
5)order
6)family
7)genus
8)species
1-Domain = A domain is the highest taxonomic level of species in biology. There are three domain of life , the archaea ,the bacteria, and the eucarya .
2-Kingdom = The kingdom is the largest unit of classification. Composed of severel small phylum.
3-Phylum = Kingdom splits into smaller unit called phyla .Phylum is second largest. Phylum used for animals and divison for plants.
4-Class= Class is a taxonomic unit in rank.Present between phylum and order.eg- mammal
5- Order = Order is also a taxonomic unit classifying organism .Present between class and family.
6-Family= Also a taxonomic unit in classification. A organism grouped together by their common attributes.
7-Genus= Organism grouped together in this unit which have similar characterstics and structurally similar.
