Expert Solution
Step 1

At the end of the First World War, the Treaty of Versailles was signed by the two sides - the Allies and Germany. The Allies took over the colonies of Germany and large parts of its territory. Germany was forced to export resources to countries like France, Poland, Denmark, etc. It's military forces were removed and it was forced to pay for the war expenses by compensating the Allies.
