Berlin conference or Congo conference of 1884 was organised by the newly emerged Imperialist country Germany under Otto von Bismarck. All the European countries were invited to the conference. The main aim of the conference was to regularize the European colonization in Africa in the face of Neoimperialism. This set the foundation stone for the Scramble for Africa.
