W E B Du Bois was an African-American historian, sociologist, activist, author, and editor. He was an important leader in the US history, especially during the African-American civil rights movement. He is best known to be the founder of National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (NAACP) in the year 1909. He worked tirelessly for the advancement and the development of the rights of his fellow African-Americans in the United States of America, particularly in the first half of the 20th century.
