Hund's rule:

According to the Hund's rule of maximum multiplicity:

The electrons are filled in the orbitals of subshells (arranged in the increasing  order of the energy) singly first, then the pairing of electrons starts.

This is specially true for subshells which have multiple degenerate orbitals (such as p subshell with 3 degenerate orbitals, d subshell with 5 degenerate orbitals and f subshell with 7 degenerate orbitals.. and so on).

 

Three degenerate orbitals of 2p subshell 2px, 2py and 2pshould be singly filled with electron in any order and then pairing of electron should start in the same order.
