When benzoic acid is treated with 1-butanol in presence of c. H2SO4 then butyl benzoate (target compound) is formed. 

At first the carbonyl oxygen undergo protonation to give more electrophilic carbonyl centre. Then nucleophilic attacks occurs by 1-butanol to give a tetrahedral intermediate which undergo proton exchange to give another tetrahedral intermediate which upon loss of water and proton gives the butyl benzoate ester.
