What's the importances of Nucleic acid

Expert Solution
What are nucleic acids?

- The most crucial macromolecules for maintaining life are nucleic acids. They contain instructions for a cell's proper operation as well as the genetic code for that cell. Thousands of proteins perform each of our regular biological processes.

- These proteins are produced locally and put together piece by piece according to precise criteria. A group of chemicals known as nucleic acids are used to retain the details and information on the precise structure of the proteins found inside our bodies.

- Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid are the two primary forms of nucleic acids (RNA). All living things, from single-celled bacteria to multicellular animals, have DNA as their genetic makeup. Adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine are the four nucleotides that makeup DNA and uracil in place of thymine in RNA.

- Nucleotides are the monomers that makeup DNA and RNA. A polynucleotide, such as DNA or RNA, is created when the nucleotides unite. Three elements make up each nucleotide: a pentose sugar, a nitrogenous base, and a phosphate group.
