During the 1500s, there were a lot of differences among people regarding religion, society, and the government. In this scenario, two important men emerged. They were John Calvin and Martin Luther. John Calvin was born in France and became a preacher in Geneva. However, Calvin had trained as a lawyer, he chose to teach theology. Martin Luther was a preacher from Germany. In the beginning, he had studied Philosophy and theology, however, he was unsatisfied with them. Both these men are important to Protestantsim.
