what were some of the key challenges that physicist face during the depression
Expert Solution
INTRODUCTION

The USA physicists were very badly hit by the Great Depression . Research Scholars found it very difficult to continue their studies as funding totally withered away. There were no jobs so Phd scholars faced a crisis to make the optimum utilisation of their studies. Adding to it the invention of poison gas, machine guns, submarines etc which helped in first world war, started a "stop science" movement in Britain in 1920.
