The aldosterone blocking drugs causes a decrease in sodium and water absorption while increasing the absorption of potassium. This results in and a higher level of sodium within the urine. Level of potassium increases in the body. Taking aldosterone blocking drugs can increase the volume of urine excretion. As the number of sodium increases in the urine due to aldosterone blocking drugs results in more concentrated urine.
