Question

What is the relationship of wet and dry climates to global circulation?

Expert Solution
Introduction

On the maximum surface of the earth, a great quantity of the wind-circulation is present. This worldwide presence of wind system transport the heat from tropical to polar regions, and this circulation is known as global circulation.

Explanation

In earth's every hemisphere, three cells are present that is; Hadley cell, Ferrel cell, Polar cell. These three cells circulate air from the earth to the whole troposphere (the atmosphere part of the earth, which is ranging from 10 to 15 km vertically). In the troposphere, the maximum weather conditions of the earth got generated. The climate change from wet to dry on earth takes place due to the combination of oceanic and atmospheric circulations of wind over the earth. The tropical areas of the earth remain warm and wet in comparison to other areas because of these circulations of wind. At the same time, polar areas of the earth remain cold and dry in comparison to other areas. The circulation of the wind from one region to another region brings the moisture and temperature of their parent regions, which causes this climate change.
