Expert Solution
Step 1

Answer:

1.

Spread: It measure of how far the data ranges from the center of data.

Here

Minimum value=19

First Quartile =37

Second Quartile = 47

Third Quartile = 58

Maximum value = 70

The spread of the four quarter 37– 19 = 18 (first quarter), 47 – 37 = 10 (second quarter), 58 – 47 = 11 (third quarter), and 70 – 58 = 12 (fourth quarter).

So, the third quarter has the smallest spread and the first quarter has the largest spread.

2.Answer: option (4) is right

Explanation:

The spread of the four quarter 37– 19 = 18

Therefore the most of the data include in the range 37-19
