What can you replay to this Discussion down below? In society today when we see others cultures that do specific things differently than our own we automatically have this feeling of that it’s wrong or incorrect. For example having tattoos or a whole sleeve. In chapter 8 on (pg 35) White says "without symbolic communication in some form, we would have no culture". It’s more common today than it was back then for people to have tattoos, but in some other cultures they have tattoos all over there body and face and it’s expressed as telling a story or a special symbol that represents their culture rather than having a random skull tattoo. I feel that people from back in the day thought differently and didn’t really want  try to understand why they have that tattoo or what it means. Instead they preferred to judge. In other culture tattoos are frowned upon and it can be very insulting to have your perfect body become “flawed” by marking it up. So to overcome this is to really try and educate and show people experiences of different cultures can be life changing around the world. It is so important to do so and especially today because the world can be very cruel.  I feel that today we really try by using social media to promote and educate different ways people live, what food they eat, what music they listen to, and how they dress.  This shows how important it is to explain to people who have a  different lifestyle from  other cultures isn’t  incorrectly or a bad person. So to educate and spread positivity around the world can truly make a difference and can make a person become less closed off and more open minded.
