What are the two types of synaptic communication?
Neurons are the chief functional entities of the nervous system in humans, especially in the brain. The neurons are present in mass in the region which is associated with a strong neural function. The neural networks in these areas thus distinguish between the various regions of the brain that deal with various functions like cognition, processing, thinking, memory, speech, recognition, etc. The neuron is composed of three key neuronal components namely axon, cell body or soma, and dendrites. The information conducted by the cell body of the neuron is transported to the synaptic terminal where a neuron forms a connection with the dendritic segments of another neuron by a specialized connection called a synapse or synaptic connection.
