What are the benefits of traditional S-curve?
Expert Solution
Step 1 Traditional S curve in hydrology:
The S hydro-graph or S-curve is essentially a hydro-graph produced by a continuous effective rainfall, at a constant rate for an indefinite period. The S-curve is a continuously rising curve, which attains a constant value ultimately, when equilibrium discharge is reached, after the entire catchment starts contributing to runoff.
S-curve hydrograph is also known as summation curve hydrograph. The S-curve is name as 'S' because of the shape of the curve resembling to the alphabet S.
