What are some different types of analyses I could run on a independent sample t-test?
Independent sample t-test :
It compares the means between two unrelated group in order to find whether there is a evidence that that population means are significantly different.
In simple words , It is used when you have two samples that are not related to one another and you want to see of there is a difference between the means of the two populations form which the samples are drawn.
Here the variables used in this test are known as , Dependent variable and Independent variable where the dependent variable is continuous and independent variable that is categorical.
Note that ,the Independent Samples t test is a parametric test and when two samples are taken from the same population it is very unlikely that the means of the two samples will be identical. When two samples are taken from two populations with very different means values, it is likely that the means of the two samples will differ.
