Was the Dread Scott decison constitutional or unconstitutional. WHy or Why Not?
Dred Scott was born as a slave in Virginia around 1799 and continued as a slave till he took legal action against the existence of slavery. He was also a social activist who served many masters before suing for his freedom. He made history by legally launching a battle against the slave culture and seeking freedom. He filed a case to Missouri courts where although he won, the decision was overturned at the Supreme Court, and the decision became base for the Civil War in America.
