Susan has been studying heat transfer in her science class. While she was boiling some eggs for
her mom, she wondered how the eggs cooked in the boiling water.
Based on the evidence, write a scientific explanation that describes the thermal energy transfers
that are taking place.

Claim
The process of Susan cooking the eggs in the boiling water is a process called heat transfer. During the
boiling of the water process we supply the heat. Heat causes physical and some time chemical changes also.
Thermal energy and/or heat is a mode of transfer of energy.
Evidence
The heat produced by burning of the fuel is transferred to the vessel containing the water, and the water due to
which vessel warms up and the water boils. The water absorbs the heat and the kinetics energy of the water
molecule increases and begin to collide with each other due to this process the temperature of the water will
begin to increase. When we supply the energy (the stove) which is sufficient in order to boil the water it will
then cause the water to boil. As the water begin to boil the vapour will begin the form.
