person administering the job. Once the work is
completed, return the PMO to either the club
manager or the maintenance supervisor. Pay close

that might initiate further investigation. File the
completed order and establish a date for the next
PMO for that piece of equipment. Record the date
of the next scheduled preventive maintenance
either manually or in a computer database (Tatum
1995). Figure 14.11 shows a completed PMO.
Periodically evaluate the preventive mainte-
nance program to determine its effectiveness.
Measure the effectiveness by the performance of
the facility and equipment and by the cost of the
