Expert Solution
Introduction

The Korean War(25th June 1950-27th July 1953) was fought between North Korea and South Korea and was part of the Cold War. The Cold War was a geopolitical tension between the United States and the Soviet Union including their allies. During the Cold War era, many proxy wars like Korean War, Vietnam War,etc took place in which neither of the two superpowers got involved directly. The United States and the Soviet Union helped their allies by providing them financial aid, military support, etc. but they did not actively start a war against each other. It was more ideological war instead of political war.
