Two salt-producing sites during the Trans-Saharan Trade were _
Expert Solution
Introduction

The Trans-Sahara Trade was conducted across the Sahara Desert and between the Arab World, i.e., Persian Gulf and North Africa, and the Saharan Africa. Although prevalent in medieval times, the trade got a kick-start between the 8th and 16th Centuries when the primary two commodities for trade were gold and salt. Gold was sufficiently available in Western Africa but was limited in North Africa.
