When p type of diode is connected to negative terminal of the battery and n type with positive terminal of battery then this biasing is called reverse bias. In this case the current flow is due to minority charge carriers (electrons in p side and holes in n side ) and in this case the width of the depletion region increases that's why very low current flow in this case.
