Experienced employees are considered part-time and are scheduled to work 30 hours per week in order to eliminate overtime and reduce the cost of benefits, and to give more students the opportunity to work. However, no one is ever laid off or will be scheduled for fewer (or more) than 30 hours, even if more employees are available than needed.
