(i)The current supplied by DC source

In the two configurations of the circuits, the open circle is connected in series and parallel form. We need to connect an ammeter in the circuit to measure the current supplied by the DC source. But the real thing is to know, whether it has to be connected? whether in series or in parallel? Basically, an ammeter has low resistance, so more current will pass through the ammeter and it measures the magnitude of the current according to the flow of the current. If this low resistance ammeter is connected parallelly, less current will be drawn to the ammeter, and automatically it will not show the original value of the current. In order to avoid this problem, an ammeter should connect in series. Configuration B suits to measure the current supplied by the DC source.
