The article I read was about the species “Australopithecus Afarensis” which most people can relate to because  “Lucy’s species, the name Lucy was something I knew about already, however what type of Hominins was something I did not know. It was found in East Africa in a region of Ethiopia; it was discovered on November 24, 1974.  It made news because it “ lived between 3.7 and three million years ago which means the species survived for at least 700,000 years more than twice as long as our own species, Homo sapiens ,has been around”. Also Lucy the Australopithecus was one of the first Hominin fossil to become famous because about 40% of her skeleton was complete when she was discovery in 1974 she was by far the most complete early Hominin know which help the scientist learn a lot just off the 40% percent of her skeleton remains that were found to study and learn more about the early Hominin. She is the second oldest Hominid skeleton discovered in the world. The first is the nickname “Ardi which is 4.4 million years old which is almost 1.2 million years older than the skeleton of Lucy”.We have and idea of how she died based on her skeleton remains scientist believe she fall from a tree however their also evidence that she could of been eating by animals after she fall and died.  https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/australopithecus-afarensis-lucy-species.html 1.In your posts briefly explain to the other student why that post is important to the understanding of human evolution. can you do it now answer it.
