1- Construct free-body diagram (FBD) to show the reactions forces and moments, equivalent force of the
distributed load.
2- Show FBD for each required section/cutting, include the internal forces and moments.
3- Write the distribution functions of the shear force and bending moment for each cut in the beam.
4- By hand construct diagrams for the shear force and bending moment distributions.
5- Determine the values and positions of maximum shear force and bending moment.
6- Using appropriate software such as Solidworks and SkyCiv produce a model for the simply supported beam
and vcrify your rcsults from Part.4.
7- Calculate the maximum stress due to bending moment for a rectangular cross section having a width of 10 mm
and height of 40 mm.
