Expert Solution
Introduction

Muscle is a soft tissue that contains protein filaments that help in the contraction and provide motion. There are three type of muscles cardiac, smooth and skeletal.

Smooth muscle have non-striated fibers and are located in walls of hollow visceral organs and are also under involuntary control.

While Skeletal muscle fibers occur in muscles which are found attached to the skeleton. They are striated in appearance and are under voluntary control.

The Sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) is a membrane-bound structure found within muscle cells whose main function is to store calcium ions (Ca2+).

While these are most abundant in the skeletal muscle than the smooth muscle.
