Provide a response to the paragraph below      Sadly, there have been many instances where people that are in positions of power have gathered information on Americans by abusing their power. Not all individuals that have abused their power have been charged (which is extremely unfortunate), but when they are caught, the punishment should be severe. If you choose to disobey the government and use your credentials to your advantage, something has to happen. The severity of the abuse of power should be judged. At the highest severities, prison time should be served. Less severe instances should end with at least the loss of their job and they should also be unable to obtain a government job again.

Political sociology concerns itself with power, power relationships between the state and citizens, the impact of power and the distribution of power in society. The concept of abuse of power is studied under political sociology with respect to the what, why, who and how that concerns society.  Political sociologists may also examine the factors that contribute to the abuse of power, as well as the mechanisms of accountability that exist to prevent such abuses from occurring.
