In this physics problem I am trying to figure out the rebound height of the smaller block if the collision is elastic. I tried to use conservation of momentum and conservation of kinetic energies to come up with two equations and 2 unknown velocities to find the velocity of mass m. I did not get a solvable quadratic with this. Is there a better way to solve this problem?

Review
A package of mass m is released from rest at a warehouse
loading dock and slides down the h 3.4 m - high, frictionless
chute to a waiting truck. Unfortunately, the truck driver went on a
break without having removed the previous package, of mass
2m, from the bottom of the chute. (Figure 1)
