that you used to create it. Do NOT post the
deciphering formula! The message must be
distinctly your own, correctly enciphered by you,
and corrected by you if someone points out a
mistake. All letters should be capitalized. Leave out
punctuation. Remember that affine ciphers for the
English alphabet are in the form C=(aP + b)mod26
where "a" must be one of the following numbers: 1,
3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25. Choose "b" as an
integer from 1 to 25. Your encoded message must
be in five-letter blocks and between 30 and 80
characters, not including spaces. Messages must
be substantive, in good taste, and should not be
about controversial subjects such as religion or
politics (ask your instructor if you are not sure). Be
