The most notable benefit of AI and machine learning is the increase in productivity for many companies. The implementation of AI can greatly increase the productivity of many companies largely because it greatly reduces the amount of human error that can occur. This increase in productivity also entails more sales which is the main measurement of success for many companies. Many startups are using AI to revolutionize the way that we shop and eat at restaurants on a daily basis. The largest consequence of Artificial Intelligence is widespread unemployment for individuals with routine-based jobs. As more companies turn towards AI to automate tasks, less-skilled workers are going to be left with fewer job opportunities and security. Although it is easy to think of AI and technological advancement as solely good for society in the future, it is important to acknowledge that AI can genuinely take the livelihoods of millions of Americans. In the future, debates on how the government should handle newly unemployed people from automation will be discussed extensively."
