Expert Solution
Step 1

There are four types of level of measurement, i.e.

  • Ratio scale: data is continuous and have a defined and meaningful zero.
  • Interval scale: data lies within a defined interval and have no defined true zero.
  • Nominal scale: having various categories with no specific order.
  • Ordinal scale: having various categories with order.

Mode is the most repeated value of the given observations. It is the value that occur more frequently in the set of 'n' observations. Median is a positional average that divides the data set into two equal parts. In case of ungrouped data,

  • If the number of observations are odd then median is the middle value after the values have been arranged in ascending order.
  • When there are even number of observation, there will be two middle values and median is obtained by taking mean of these two middle values.
